French film

default French film

Has anyone come across a French film called 'Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis'? I had to show part of it to a class today (older kids - some of the language is a bit ripe! - the language of the subtitles, that is!). It's a really funny film, but apparently it has never made it across the channel, despite breaking box office records in France. It looks as if it should become available through dvd rental firms soon (Lovefilm etc). Without giving too much of the story away it is about a man who has to move to a job in the North of France, and who has to get used to a different dialect/accent, and a different way of life - the North/South divide, and the stereotypes which people believe about those who live elsewhere. Would recommend it if you can get hold of it.
