JellyRoll Quilt Empty JellyRoll Quilt

Post by AngelinaJellyBeana 23rd January 2013, 10:20 pm

Well, how could I resist something called a Jelly Roll??? Lots of strips of fabric sewn end to end to make an enormously long strip, folded up on itself sewn, folded again etc etc

linky to show you how here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bEJLnaZQOU

And so I've had a go

JellyRoll Quilt P1090410

I'm really pleased how it's turned out. I've got some pink flanelette for the backing as I wanted it to be snuggly and warm. Just need to get the wadding and sew all the layers together and then attempt to quilt it. Very Happy

I've done this over 2 nights and an afternoon. I'm still slow and my machine is only very basic but someone with more experience and a better machine could do it faster

Looking good so far AJB. A bit pink for my tastes perhaps, but I would expect no less Smile

I had to watch the you tube clip because I couldn't work out how it was made. Impressive!
