Hi all I had a quick chat with my dear Brother yesterday and he is so very ill,
He can no longer eat, but he can get fluids in so at this time he is bake on the soups.
Which he is so very tied off, but he knows that if this is what he has to do then he has to do it.
apart from that He told me to look after ourselves.
I'm realy hoping that the day will come soon that I can say that he is well and then thank you all.
Take care all.

I was told this morning by my Dear old mum that my Dear Older Brother norman has only a few months left.
The cancer has spread like wild fire now.

He had all that treatment done and all he gets from it is this!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so pis***d off
I did get to talk to Norman just under an hour ago and it was so very hard to talk as I was crying.
I've told him that I would get up to see him but he has other ideas,
meaning he is going to come down here and stay may be until it's time.

So may I take this moment in time to thank one and all for all the surpport that you have given me over the last few months.

All of you please look after your loved ones and take care all of you.

I'm so sorry to say that my dear brother Norman lost his life yesterday morning at 04;30hrs
I only got to talk to him for a short time about 3 weeks ago, as he could no longer talk or even say much a load on the phone.

I don't at this time know when his funeral will be??
But I was talking to my Dear old mum this morning to be told by her, that my older sister has already told her that she was not to go to her own sons funeral and that Me and my little family go to mums on the day of the funeral and have a service there.

I'm not to happy about that as i was not even asked what I thought of IT.
OK Normans Funeral will be held in Yorkshire and we live in Suffolk and don't drive.

But that's nothing I just can't get my head around this I wish I that I could have got to see him before or even got to see him more than i did do.
Well now I've got a long time to wish and wait.

Take care all of you.

I'm so so sorry Nick

as regards to funerals, you and your mum should do what you want. Yorkshire isn't too bad by train from Suffolk, I have done it.

I am saddened, but at least your dedication to his welfare has blessed his life during his final months. The rabbis say that all acts bear their appropriate fruit somewhere, sometime in the world. Nothing good is ever lost.

So sorry to hear your sad news, Nicky

If you and your mum want to go to the funeral then you have every right to go but I'm sure your sister is only trying to do her best as your mum's health isn't so good either and maybe she is worried about the stress it will cause her. If I were you I'd have a word with your sister and see what she says

Nicky - I am so so sorry to hear your news. My thoughts are with you and your family.

As others have said you should go to your brother's funeral if that is what you want to do. I'm sure a way to get there can be found.

Take care

I am so sorry to hear this, as I've commented elsewhere. I hope that you are able to get to the funeral. Perhaps a talk with your older sister might be appropriate, and see WHY she thinks you and your mum shouldn't go to the funeral. Can you have a word with your parish priest and see if he can arrange something with another parishioner perhaps driving you and your mum?

Such sad news Nicky - thinking of you all.

It does sound as if your sister is trying to save you and your mum the stress of the travelling and the sadness of the funeral, but your mum has to be allowed to make her own decisions and grieve in the way that is best for her. Hope you can keep the communication channels open between you all and sort out the best way to proceed.

Lots of love XXX
