Fabric clear-out
Hi everyone,
I need to have a clear-out of my old fabric stash and anything I can't use I will take to a charity shop. You know what it's like, you see a bargain and think hey I can make a nice blouse out of that, in fact I could make two nice blouses out of that, and this is how the stash accumulates.
I had thought to make some cushions using old curtain lining, stuffing them with feathers from two huge cushions a neighbour gave us. Maybe I'm getting a reputation but the neighbours had new cushions for their sofa and asked could I use the feathers. You bet I can! Some of the silky stuff will make cushion covers (I say "silk", it is merely silky to the feel but probably 100% polyester) and I have so much stuff that I will make some for use out in the garden.
However I suspect that when I start to have my clear-out I will accumulate a list of so many things I can make that I won't actually clear-out at all!
How about you - do you ever clear out your stuff and end up keeping most of it?

Re: Fabric clear-out
Oh yes, don`t we all.
I too have fabrics, a lot of which I shall make into bags at some time. It seems that the more bags I make, the more I need, a good stock always comes in handy!!
The wool gets made into wrist warmers, hats or scarves etc.
My main problem at the moment is bits to make cards, I think I have enough cards for the next 2 years for birthdays & soon I will have even more seasonal cards as well, but I just like making them.
