Now, I've never heard of The CheeseWorks, let alone ordered anything. The card number they give isn't on any of my cards so I'm sure it's just a scam. And nothing to worry aobut. Haven't replied, clicked on any links or anything. Thing is DD lives in Derby and it's all a little odd. I'm not one to fall for scams usually but this one has me a bit concerned as it's direct to my email, not just one of those that have lists of similar names and email addresses

Re: Advice on weird email please
Hmmm - well the company exists and they do have something in their online shop called "French Delights" and when you add P&P the price is right. As long as you are sure that the address and card no are nothing to do with you or DD then I'd try not to worry. My guess is that someone has put in your e-mail address instead of their own. Has it gone to an e-mail address that someone else could possibly have similar to?

or might someone have bought you something as a present?
If the card is not your, ignore it and try not to worry.

Re: Advice on weird email please
Is your email address such that a mistake would be possible? You are using a provider available over a wide area and you name string could approximate another's with a character or two changed? (as would not be the case with Penny and myself). Is that delivery address unknown to you?
In those case ignore probably OK. But otherwise you could go to this CheeseWorks site and discover their "help" or "customer service" email addresses to report "I think there is a problem". Just because not your problem doesn't mean not a serious problem for somebody. Could save you trouble later should this turn out to be a fraud matter as somehow your email has been associated (and your having notified the CheeseWorks should indicate that you are an innocent bystander).

Re: Advice on weird email please
Their website looks pukka. It seems an odd sort of scam if it is - not your card, not your billing address not your delivery address.
I'd say phone them up and ask - looks like a mistake IMO.

Will give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say.
