Well, it seems that I've been a member for ages but something got lost in the shuffle and I never got on. So here I am and how do I get a dandy avatar?

I am living on the Fundy Shore of Nova Scotia and working on being somewhat self sufficient with varying degrees of success.

Hello, hello and welcome. Maybe, in the name of self-sufficiency, you could knit one! Seriously though, if you click on Profile on the bar above, and then choose Avatar from the heading, you will have the option of uploading one of your own making or choosing a ready made one from the gallery.
