I only have Polka. It does look like it would be easy to propagate - I have shoots coming up quite some way from the original stool. Being traditionalists we don't have yellow varieties. Good luck in finding some.

Sorry - I only have Autumn Bliss (and the chickens have eaten quite a few of those down to the ground!)
Do you have a local allotment group near to you? Someone there might be able to help

Sorry, none here I've just got some Polka to try out for Autumn.
I'm assuming that you don't want to get some from a commercial supplier - Ken Muir do them.

I don't think you bothered anyone Gunners, and I've no problems with trying to get some without parting with your hard-earned !

Polka is a red variety, and is a primocane type - autumn fruiting but if you leave the old canes on you can get a second spring crop off them. But you then have to cut the old canes out from amongst the new growth, a job for which a suit of chain mail is an advantage. They do seem to send up suckers freely - I assume that if you dig one up with a bit of root attached it will happily form a new plant ?

I've been to the lotty today.  The raspberries (Polka) are spreading quite a bit, and it was easy to fork out some bits.  Some are a cane with some root attached, and there are some bits of root with new shoots sprouting from them.  I've washed them off and put them in a plastic bag with some damp newspaper.  If you want to see if you can get them to grow Gunners, PM me your mail address.  There ought to be enough to get half a dozen or more, and judging on how mine are growing, propagating more later will not be difficult !

Good grief, how do you keep these things under control ? It was not at all difficult to dig up some shoots with root attached for Gunners, indeed they are coming many feet from where they were planted now. Some spread is kind of useful, but not into the strawberry bed ! Hoeing them off seems not to deter them for long either.

Planted a couple of golden autumn rasps a few weeks ago, and I'm hoping that they are rampant, as they will have to cope with the hens. There's netting around them for protection, but once the canes are taller than two feet, they're on their own!
