My sister came up with this one. She's a former research assistant and has used these in the lab... I found them online for what I consider to be a very good price. I also bought the handle which has proved to make it much easier to.. well... handle. It takes a bit of wiggling to make it fit, but it's good and solid once you've got it together.

Smaller seeds can be gently scattered, larger seeds can be precisely placed and even planted to an appropriate depth. I'm loving this....
