cant find the recipe for light white cake! Empty cant find the recipe for light white cake!

Post by GB 24th April 2010, 2:15 am

I had a cook book - Depression Era Cooking - and in it was a recipe for a white cake. It used whipped egg whites but DIDNT use equal parts sugar to flour or more eggs than flour! The batter made a largish cake and was like a very light cream sponge.

Does ANYONE have a recipe like this one? The library doesnt have the book and the flood took mine and try as I may, I cant find its like on line Evil or Very Mad

Twas loverly, it was!
