Hi all

What a great site!

Myself, my husband, our newborn baby and dog Alfie live in Shropshire and are trying to live the good life in our barn conversion. We try to grow as much of our own veg as we can, save energy, recycle, buy locally produced stuff from small local shops where we can and love making things for use at home or for christmas and birthday presents. Woodwork and knitting mainly, but I'm always up for learning new crafts and skills.

Over the next few years, we're planning on expanding what we can do ourselves and how much we can produce and are experimenting with a permaculture garden. At the moment this are is mostly under concrete, so it will be a major reclamation project! Hoping to get some useful tips for our various experiments from some of you guys! You can find out more about this project on our blog: http://oakhousepermaculture.blogspot.com/

Hope to speak to some of you soon,

Nancy

Hi Nancy from France. I have relatives in Shropshire, we are presently having your style weather! Hope it stops soon as the 70 tomato plants I've just planted out won't be happy.
Well breaking a new veg patch out of concret might be one way to get the body back in tone after having a baby...but you might want to wait a bit!!!
