I find that the other place is no longer as informative on the things I am interested in, in fact I go on there less & less now. This is the forum I prefer & find the most helpful & friendly.

I drop in to other places but no longer post as despite the smallish number (relatively) on this forum, it is actually the most friendly and well informed place I have come across. And I am registered on quite a few fora!

I have also noticed that posting on "The Other Place" is increasingly made up from a really quite small group of people posting regularly.

Which is fine, if that is what you want. I prefer it over here!

Although I would love to see a few old friends posting in here...and some existing members posting more regularly. But that is another issue... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

OK, "rival" was a poor choice of words, that wasn't really what I meant.

But I still think it would be bad form to be recruiting openly.

Yes HL, so do I.

I do, however, have no problem if people wish to tell their forum friends about us by PM .

assuming, of course, that they think that said potential member will get anything from joining us, not merely to bulk up numbers.

My point about writing something is to get some content as opposed to just chat/banter. If some one sees there are good "doers" posting here then there is more chance to catch some new "doers" and encouage them to proceed with their own ideas of a slower/home made life.
