Forum meet up?
I would love to meet up with you! and I am planning a meet up here during August.
I have a lovely wood and space for people to camp so I was thinking a Fri evening till Sunday lunchtime meet up maybe? We can chill out round the campfire, skill share, maybe have a few workshops from different people, look at the PVs, solar, wood and garden set up I have here, explore the local interests ( lots to see and do around here, you don't have to stay glued to my place!) and generally have a good time I hope
I know Badger, Zoe, Green Rosie, Puddies, Snoopka, VWalker and many others cannot come [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] because they are over the sea...which is such a shame...
BUT I also know lots of you could maybe make it so ..lets try to make it happen!
PM me to let me know when/if you are available
Those who have been here before think it is lovely here...so it's not just me who thinks so... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I didn't mean you, silly girl... Nor was I referring to the spanner that stopped my visit last time.HL, I don't throw spanners...
That had slipped my mind.

Re: Forum meet up?
Ooooh - I'd love to join you all if you don't mind LMC and Mr C too (to provide assistance with childcare!) Obviously it may all depend on how LMC is at the time and I'm not sure if camping is her thing yet but even if we only come for the day I'd love to meet you all!
CW - please don't try to organise anything around my availability as I may have to take a judgement call at the last minute, but I will drop you a PM.
Ooooh - this is exciting!

Re: Forum meet up?
Mrs C, Maxwell is a very happy camper - as long as you have a tent big enough to pop up a travel cot in, babies love camping.

I expect photos of this event... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Re: Forum meet up?
You don't even need a travel cot, Moses basket, carry cot or the first time Lucy went camping we used her changing mat as a mattress covered in a blanket and her in her baby sleeping bag

We can only make a daytime thing as we've got too many animals to look after !
The only weekend date in August (so far) that we can't do is the 1st...

Re: Forum meet up?
Ooh, this sounds good. I may have to have OH to drop me off or something, as daughter may need the car because of working at the pub, but I'd love to come along. Nothing booked for August yet - apart from perhaps dropping eldest daughter and boyfriend off at the Green Man Festival IF they go.
Re: Forum meet up?
Well.....will try, but what with work and livestock staying over is very hard....will ome for a day if no emergency happening. Cannot do 7th - 22nd Aug as away for a bit and other stuff happening
Re: Forum meet up?
Billy - our two man tent is just that - enough space for two adults to sleep lying side by side and not much more. Like the changing mat as a mattress idea though - may have to work on that one...

Re: Forum meet up?
I have spare tents I could bring - Mrs C, could swop you our bigger one for you 3 and I could have one of the smaller ones (or yours for the weekend).
Re: Forum meet up?
I have a 4 person tent ( well it sleeps 3 adults comfortably) so you could borrow that if you needed Mrs C?
So...will be finalising details asap...have some work stuff to sort out first but then will get all this sorted...
and will think up work for you all to do [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ...compost toilet to build, trees to fell, hen pen to put up etc etc ....
only joking... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Forum meet up?
Oh on site there will be a very basic toilet tent (commode and also urinal for composting) and washing facilities ( very al fresco solar shower, hand washing basin...) plus lots of supplies of hot water if you come up to the house, and firewood from ...the wood, and eggs...from the hens...
I can order in local supplies of bacon, BBQ stuff ( all local and free range/organic and what we eat) if given notice;
there is a fab local organic farm veg shop within 2 miles and another selling meat, all sorts of veg, drink, household within 3 miles and Ledbury with lots of shops is 4 miles away.....and I suspect I can supply cider, veg, etc from my own stores at a VERY reasonable price......! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(Edited to add for Billy's benefit, that means free, in return for a bit of help, which is why I added a "wink"....... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] )
There are also some really nice pubs locally if anyone wants to go out...
but I rather think we can make our own fun!
seriously I am really looking forward to this!

Ha! Not on your nelly!
Come to the meet up and you may well be plied with free cider...but you will probably have to shoot a squirrel or several first! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
