This is so exciting - the tent offers may well be taken up. Now I just need to convince Mr C that you lot really exist(!) and that we can manage a weekend away with LMC. Watch this space. Worst case hopefully we can at least just make a day trip.

Well we've all been longing for a turn to cuddle Miss C, so this could be our chance!

I just noticed the title: "Sticky forum meet up".
Sounds messy... and knowing some of you lot, more than a little kinky. :?

Perhaps I'll wait for a cleaner one. Wink

Lol!

Right - the good news is that Mr C is coming round to the idea! bouncing The only thing that may still ruin our plans is getting a date for LMC's 8 week injections. They may be around then...

So, remind me good people, who has got a tent big enough for two adults and a moses basket (assuming she still fits in it then!) and would (pretty please) be prepared to lend it to us in exchange for some home baked cake???

Thanks for the offer GB - even if it didn't cost a fortune to ship the fact that it took Royal Mail two weeks to get a letter across St Albans makes me think we'd never get it in time anyway!

I picked up a tent the other day.
Haven't checked it out yet so I don't know if it's all there or how big it is, I'll get back to you on that.

What weekend are we aiming for?

Argh - letter came this morning and LMC needs to have her 8 week inoculations the week before. Going to try and get them early in the week so that she'd be over any fever before we come. Or failing that maybe the Monday after. Fingers crossed for when I right the Drs on Monday.

Soooooo excited about this!

Fantastic news - we happened to be shopping this morning when we came across a half price four man tent. We are now the proud owners of a half price four man tent! bouncing

Next job - to search the loft for our sleeping bags!

What're we planning to do for music of an evening?
Can anyone play any instruments, and are you bringing them?
I can play the cacophone, but I wasn't really planning to bring it.

I can't play much at all. Mr C collects instruments (banjo, uke, accordian!), but again isn't so hot on the playing of them...

I rather thought we would probably end up sitting and chatting...

we could possibly rig up some small scale CD player and speakers if anyone really wanted...

but if anyone wants to sing...

I used to sing (and run) a folk club, but that may not be everyone's cup of tea...

It's like counting down to the excitement of Christmas this! So, who is coming next weekend then? (Assuming CW's still happy to host us?) Mr C has to work Friday so it looks like we'll head over Saturday morning and push off after lunch on Sunday.

Really looking forward to meeting some of you at last!

Sorry about not being able to make it. But hopefully when we move we will be a bit nearer "up the road" so to speak, so we WILL get to meet.

Finances have taken a hammering in recent times, and a strict budget is now being adhered to, especially after middle daughter had to go to Cardiff two days running for interviews - that's the fuel money for this week AND next . . .

Have a good time anyway.
