default Recipe for Smoked Mackerel Pate please

Has anyone got a recipe for smoked mackerel pate? I think fussy daughter may eat this but wasn't paying the ludicrous price for it (complete with E numbers and additives) in the shop yesterday. Have some cream cheese and the smoked mackerel. Where do I go from here?!!!

I just put a tub of cream cheese (Tesco own version of "philly" works) and the mackeral into the blender, squeeze of lemon juice and pulse it so it's mixed but not turned to total mush. No real recipe, just keep tasting until it's right.

Thats what I do as well...it really IS that simple...you can even do it with a fork if you want!

Smoked salmon works well, as well....the really cheap scrap end packets Sainsbugs sells are sustainably fished as well, and only 89 p

I do the same but with half ricotta half sour cream, a pinch of nutmeg and at least half a lemon of juice.
