Does anyone know if you are (or it is a good idea) to vaccinate chicks for any of the chicken infections such as salmonella Vaccinating chicks Icon_question

If so:


  • what age should you do it?
  • where do you get the vaccines?
  • where do you stick the needle in?


We only have one that is 48hours old.

I never have

when I inquired at the vets I was told they did them at farm scale levels and the cost for a just a few would be astronomical.

But if any one knows better, I would be interested to know!
