Hello from deepest, darkest Devon
(Arrived here via Compostwoman, to whom thanks for the suggestion.)
Just a quick hello, really, and an introduction: I live in the east of Devon, in a small thatched cob cottage which my husband (Quercus) and I are currently renovating.
Yes: cloth nappies, sleep, slings, reading, walking, picking things in the hedges, knitting, baking, cooking (I'm attempting 52 recipes in 2010; you can see how I'm doing here), felting, reclaiming our garden from two years of building work, lime rendering, timber framing (halfway through building a timber-framed workshop in the garden; should be a giant fircone eventually as it's going to be shingled and waney-edged boarded), pondering replacing our chickens who were foxnapped in April, being Mama to our small girl (1.06.2008) with two cats in tow (Wixon and Pyewacket), wood stacked neatly for burning, homemade balms and potions, pottery (particularly stoneware), telling stories, geranium, vanilla.
No: olives, peppers, reality TV, noisy neighbours, expensive yet horribly and thus tempting pretty wool, disposable nappies.
