beachcombing
Ive definitely wombled today. Have just spent the morning beachcoming at Lyme Regis in Dorset and for a couple of hours "work" scouring the beach underneath a new cliff fall at the base of a victorian rubbish dump have come up with some rather lovely `plunder`. a haul of vintage, possibly antique bottles-including bovril & a vinol bottle, lots of bone china & glass pieces for a creative mosaic and some pattern ideas! other pottery will come into use possibly in garden pots after research done on the stamps except the Powells of Bristol lid i found in tact which i will probably gift to a museum. But priceless was the chance to re-live some of my childhood to the kids when i found bits of St. Ivels, Shiphams paste & Dawes bottles. I even found one with its metal lid on!

Hi Mrs C -yes i was feeling rather pleased with myself yesterday-now on to the mosaic making -im not an expert but thought it would brighten up a wall on the patio and i could engage my 12 year old daugther -who is ever more so artistic than me-maybe a simple seascape-in homage to lovely Lyme Regis?
