Hello from Hertfordshire
Hello everyone, I am so pleased I've found this place.
I've been simplifying my life over the past couple of years and found it amazingly soul refreshing.
I’m looking forward to reading more and getting to know you all.

Hi Lottie, thanks for the welcome
A cuppa tea would be lovely right now. I made some spiced biscuits at the weekend and I'm happy to share them

Re: Hello from Hertfordshire
We have some spicey gingerbread after mistaking a packet of white pepper for the ground ginger. I actually like them a lot though.
Re: Hello from Hertfordshire

Hello to Zoe in France
Um things I get upto, well mainly I'm either working or walking my gorgeous almost 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier called Baxter. I live for the weekends mainly when I get to spend decent time with my 9 year old son and my partner. I love walking through the woods and across the fields, as I go I try to see if I can name all the plants I come across. Those that I can't name I take a photo of and look them up when I get home.
At home I'm either cooking, cleaning, making something or watching TV. My favourite TV Channel is BBC2 I love pretty much all the programs they show - currently enjoying Edwardian Farm.
I've always loved the country and though I live in the commuter belt (to London) its rural enough for me to pretend that I'm out in the wilds lol. My partner says I am 'Country Mouse and he is Town Mouse' as he loves the city and I love the country. I love all things tradition country from weather sayings to old crafts.
I'm all about home and hearth and I love my family. We are all slightly eccentric and kind of proud of it too So thats me and what I get upto in the main

Hi Mrs C another Hertfordshire Hedgehog, cool
I'm not far from you really I live in Letchworth Garden City. I was born in Welwyn Garden City (I must have a thing for Garden City's ) which isn't far at all from St Albans. I love the history of the area and the amazing events that have taken place in our little county like moving the houses of Parliament to Hertford during the plague

Re: Hello from Hertfordshire
ha cool, from Hertfordshire to Herefordshire seems like a natural move
I really like Letchworth, I know its classed as a new town but there are some lovely old 'character' buildings too. We're home to the UK's first roundabout lol, and we have the famous black squirrel. I also like that I can walk for 5 minutes from the house and I reach open fields. The Ickleford Lavender Farm isn't far away and on a breezy summers day the air is filled with gorgeous lavender scents.
