Sounds not too bad.

We feed ours wheat to increase the yield of egg laying all the year round and some maize when it is cold to help keep their body weight up. They need to have spare energy to make eggs...and take two weeks to make them, so if they have got cold it takes a while for them to stop laying. We use layers pellets too.

We give ours layer pallets and mixed corn all year round and we only have had to buy a Dozen eggs in 3 - 4 years of keeping chickens.
We have around 20 hens not to sure how many but they are laying anything between 6 to 12 a day.

Also our little Appenzeller laid a tiny little white egg on Saturday her very first egg which only was 45 grm.
