I haven't...
But a friend's roommate has. She has a giant spore growing in a big glass jar. The tea tastes like flat champagne to me, I think because of the fermentation. It's pretty good. She says it's really good for you, too.

According to the claims, it detoxes the body. Sara (my friend's roomie) loves it and says that she hardly ever gets sick because of it. Of course, she also eats really well and doesn't ingest much sugar, no meat, etc., and exercises regularly. So there are a variety of factors that could lead her to feel better/have a better immune system.
Her jar looks exactly like the one in the first picture! It looks *so gross* but it's actually quite tasty. Odd at first, but good.

I tried, but I did not have the right conditions, or that's my explanation. I reckon that it needs a degree of warmth, but I had not a sufficiently warm spot in my house.
