What the heck was its NAME???
I am trying to find the name of a series I saw about 4 years ago. It was a bunch of families that did a re-creation of the pioneer life. They had to build their own homes, grow their own food, raise their livestock and the like. It was really interesting - one of the men couldn't re-adjust to modern life and the kids couldn't get over how boooooooring modern life is when the show was over - and I would love to see it again.
Did anyone see it too? And remember its name?

Pioneer Quest: A Year in the Real West
was this it? Set in Canada? it first was made in 2000 for the US market , but I don't know when it was shown in the UK - I remember seeing a bit of it a few years back as well? several couples
No, if it had children as well, was it Frontier House? This had several families who had to live and work " for real" and establish their homes, build up a buiness etc...think it was in ?Montana?
It was based on the similar UK 1900 and 1940 house series...I think it was a collableration between the UK TV production team and a PBS team ( I seem to remember it being a PBS programme?)
Sorry, I may have just consfused things even more.....

Re: What the heck was its NAME???
You guys are so wonderful
I have never bought into the end of the world thing but having done some research on it, have to say its starting to worry me a bit so with the money sorting thing going well, I am starting a project of my own to get a parcel of land close to home but OUTSIDE of the poxy restrictive city ordinances and set it up like a turn of the century home.
Bases covered really, a fun homestead farm off grid but close to home if the world sails on as is but a really good fall back if it goes belly up sooner than later.
