I know; shame you're not nearer, I have a spare Shacht double treadle one in my tent you would be welcome to. Willl investigate how much the shipping is, if you like. Don't want a rug loom too, do you ? lol

Three bags full........ Empty Re: Three bags full........

I have 3 big bags full of recently shaved deer hair! I think I should save them for mulch! I also have 2 bags of dirty shetland fleece. The fellow I sold my sheep to brought me some.. I didn't look in the sacks.. I was afraid to. I'm sure he doesn't know the meaning of 'skirting'! May be a task best left for the summertime!

I've recently found crocheting finely spun wool with a super large crochet hook to be good fun. I hope this wool has SOME soft fiber in it. I found that some of the Shetlands I used to have were either, or.. soft or NOT! Our neighbor used to have Suffolk cross.. Very nice springy fiber.. just great for nice cosy springy socks! The shetland would felt if you looked at it the wrong way, while the suffolk would just 'full'.. lol.. Good for me as everything in our home seems to find it's way into both the washer and dryer! Looking forward to meeting you too Luath!

I would love a rug loom too - but as the Spinning wheel wold cost about 60 quid to post - then sadly I have to decline your lovely offer - thank you though, very sweet of you.
