Today YSS and I have the day off school! They could have organised a better day, I would have only had a half day today anyway.

Flute, I like your way of thinking! The whole striking thing does my head in, and the childish behaviour of the teaching staff makes me ashamed of my profession.

I must admit I went in to school (I'm not in a teaching union any more) and it was lovely and quiet. It did get a bit boring without the children though after a while....
