Re: Crafting Today.
The ideas are sooooooooo good, I learnt such a lot that I will use when the pack is finished, though I think that will take some time. It has to be the best card mag I have ever bought.

Re: Crafting Today.
I still have bits left over from issues last year. I keep on thinking I should subscribe but them I feel a bit silly. BUT then, otoh I have sold cards made from stuff in these mags and made so may others as gifts for friends ....so maybe not so silly after all!

Re: Crafting Today.
My "me" day has been with the card kit, so far I have made 15 of the cards, so it is a good return for the money. It has also given me so many ideas.
Seasonal one is out next week, guess who is going to get that as well

Re: Crafting Today.
Card mag out again today & have been making more Seasonal cards.
Also made some tree decorations which I was very pleased with. Took 2 identical gold gift tags, stuck them together & threaded the thread through. Look quite good if I do say so myself.

Re: Crafting Today.
Just back from our first craft & social group which went well....some children came and made up some paper craft 3D models I'd taken with me, which they thought was fantastic....whilst most of the adults made cards, crochet items and sock creatures I've still not unpacked my granny trolley with all the things I took with me - but when I have I'll share the basic cards I made (was busy making cuppas and yapping away

Re: Crafting Today.
Its funny, making xmas cards and gifts is the only bit if crafting that I don't enjoy anymore - probably because I leave it too late
Re: Crafting Today.

I'm always startled at how lovely the cut work is on your work. Those silhouettes are just amazing!!!

Re: Crafting Today.
They're really nice, Adrian. Lovely surprise as I just dropped in with my morning coffee. Do you cut into the light, so the dark shows through, or do you cut out the dark and place on the light? What adhesive are you using?

Re: Crafting Today.
I use a black acid free card stock and cut the silhouette then mount with a spray mount onto a handmade vellum to give the translucent effect.
Re: Crafting Today.
You make it sound so easy, but looking at the finished product it clearly is not ! How do you cut out that level of detail in the black card without a slip, tear, crease ... I admire your patience and steadiness of hand.

Re: Crafting Today.
Feeling a bit left out, as we are not 'doing' Christmas this year, so I'm not making any cards either. Hope you don't mind, but here are some pics of some of my favourites over the years. I only ever make a single design each year. Often cards are stencilled using a home made stencil and a variety of techniques to apply the colour, sometimes hand printed, and sometimes a simple background with each being hand lettered - anything where I can produce 60-100 cards reasonably quickly. Hmm - having problems getting any more than two pics on.
