Design my garden!

Here's a rough drawing of our plot - the back garden is just grass but we've recently bought a shed which is in the corner of the shortest fence. The garden slopes away from the house and the lowest point is along the rear fence where it can get a bit boggy in the winter.
What would you do with a blank canvas?!

Hmmm nice long S W facing fence there....does it get much shade Akuma? and what is the soil like?

Oops didn't see you had two threads on same subject. My idea still stands use the long wall as a starting point with possibly trained apple and pear trees. Make each bed about 1.5m wide. Then a small path. Keep digging another one everytime you want to grow more veg.
Unless you really are committed now and look at retaining the water and grow blue berries etc in the wet area. Have channels to drain into that area..plant appropriately. Fruit bushes between the patio and wet bit.
If you can use the drain off the house into water butts and then a pond...even better! :bounce:

Another thought is east facing with south is best for early growing as it warms up quickest. Look to see where the sun first shines in the garden. Cloches with salad under idea! The west solar gain is less important at that time.

Also remember you can grow your veg upwards if thats any use to you.
