New look...

Like the new look Badger - surprised me at first. Amazed to read though that I'm on the "top poster" list. Just goes to show how much time I spend on here! Shocked

Please, can I switch the new look off somewhere in my personal settings?
I am getting nauseous with the "latest topic" scrolling just to the left of my focus,
and I am getting confuddled with all the information at hand.
Anywhere I can click and make it all go away to a nice calm screen again?

I'm afraid that unless the consensus of members is for me to switch of the new settings, that there is no way for me to have the option of each member deciding to view the left hand widgets or not

I maybe, however, be able to stop the scrolling

I like the new look too except the scrolling down bit (Sorry [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] )

Plus, I may be being a bit dense here but when I click on a thread to read it,when finished, if I want to go back to "View posts since last visit" there is no direct button and I have to go via forum then View Posts. I know it's only one click but a girl's busy you know ...... or is she just being dense? Other forums have a latest post button on every page (top and bottom on one even [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] )

It's not really working for me I'm afraid.
I just don't see the point of any of that stuff on the left.
As for the scrolling, the link across the top was nauseating enough - having another one down the left as well is really stomach churning.

Edited the code to stop the sidebar scrolling

the horizontal scrolling text stays

What is the "character " and the various rating stuff in our profiles, Badger?

hum, yes

thought I had removed that

The character business is for online roleplaying game - that will not be happening here.

You may notice a plus and minus sign on each post - that's new, it adds to a members reputation, i.e if you think someone wrote something helpful, then you could hit the plus bit and it adds to their forum rep - just something I am playing with, not sure if it will stay...

Perhaps try looking using your testing profile? Maybe it isn't there, if you are not you?

I see NO plus or minus signs anywhere near the online banner in the top LHcorner ( or anywhere else, for that matter!)

I see peoples "reputation" numbers are increasing but I too cannot see the plus or minus in each corner...

Would the system be open to abuse & if somebody got the hump with someone else they could find all their posts & just click the minus buttons, I'm just thinking when the forum gets bigger as we are all "friends" now :hug2: ...
