A joyful and blessed Yule to you all
And so the wheel has turned and we have reached midwinter.
Whatever your celebrations this time of year, I hope that you have a wonderful and peaceful time with your loved ones.
Today marks the end of the death of the Holly King and the birth of the Oak King, it is Midwinter, the point in the year when the day begins to lengthen and the and the birth of the new sun.
Today our winter celebrations begin and I will be cutting an oak log and gathering holly to decorate it, I will gather greens for the house look forward to the new year ahead.
Bright blessings to you all

Merry Solstice blessings to you and yours, Badger .
And good wishes to all on this Forum. Have a good festive season and an even better New Year.
I am off out to cut Holly and bring in some Oak, some to burn as well ( now it has stopped snowing, for a bit!)

Solstice greetings ( a few minutes belated) to you all from the Jaded Green family.
We've just seem off the last of our guests for our Solstice party and tomorrow will think about putting up the Christmas decorations.

Re: A joyful and blessed Yule to you all
Belated Solstice and Yule blessings to you all too
I've gathered some holly (managed to find a nice varigated variety as well as the gorgeous deep green) and I've brought some mistletoe which I keep by the front door all year long for protection and replace it every year.
My entire family celebrate Yule rather than Christmas and a right old jolly time we have too I literally can't wait and even though this year I reach the grand old age of 36 I still have to stop myself from opening all the doors on my advent calendar
