I just wombled a shed.
Walking down the road towards my truck this morning a chap calls out "Hey do you want a shed?"
Which is of course a "do bears crap in the woods" kind of question, but I am damn sure that bears don't crap in every wood, so the real question was did I want this shed.
So I looked at it and my first thought was that I was going to need a bigger lorry. :?
It was not one of those flimsy things you get from B&Q, but a proper construction, made of wood and nails and big sheets of board.
Took us the rest of the day to dismantle it and my first thought was right. Didn't help that I started the day with it half full though. :?

Brilliant, what size?
I really have no room for another shed but still got shed envy...

How come i never get anything offered that's even a fraction as exciting as a shed when I'm out and about???

As a former neighbour of mine, a father of three girls, once said to me - "A man can never have too many sheds you know !"

I reckon you've just got to have the right kind of wagon.MrsC wrote:How come i never get anything offered that's even a fraction as exciting as a shed when I'm out and about???
Mine has got my name written on it in great big metaphorical letters (CW can confirm that)... I should probably write my phone number on there in actual letters one of the days. :?

Re: I just wombled a shed.
I was going to say having a truck probably helps no end. So what are your plans for it HL?
Re: I just wombled a shed.
Strangely Mr C and I are currently thinking about reducing the number of sheds we have. I have warned him that he will probably regret it, but he seems set on the idea. Someone on the allotments we back on to may end up being very lucky then!
Sounds like I need to get myself a truck then too!

Some of it is going to be a new floor for the aforementioned truck.chickenofthewoods wrote:So what are your plans for it HL?
I've given some away 'cos I was fretting about my springs (or more
realistically fretting about plod looking at my springs), and the rest
is likely to become a couple of new sheds down the allotment.
Anything left over can go in the heat to energy converter.
You could hire a 'loon if it is easier.MrsC wrote:Sounds like I need to get myself a truck then too!

Ah. To clarify
I don't remember your name on it in metaphorical letters
I remember the lorry very well indeed and a very lovely lorry it is, to be sure.

Does freecycle count as wombling?
If so, I just trumped the shed: wombled a garage... flippin' heck it's heavy.
