Gudrun Leitz, maker of rather wonderful organically shaped chairs and much more, is holding an open day on the 9th of August to mark 20 years of woodworking at Clissett wood (re-named after the Victorian chairmaker Philip Clissett).

It just goes to show that you don't know what's on your own doorstep! It looks as if Clissett Wood is near Canon Frome (which I know as DD2 has a friend who lived in the community in the big house) - is the wood turning linked with the community?
