Due to an unfortunatte incident involving the loft and a kettle, the screen on Mr JG's 4th generation i-pod got broken. But he ordered a replacement screen (£9.99) and instgalled it today after buying an additional screwdriver (£7.99) which will be of use again. Result, can now use i-pod again Very Happy

After he had shown me his repaired i-pod last night, mr JG charged said i-pod. I turned it on this morning and it has failed to come on. It is sitting in the pod dock next to me looking totally stuck, not charging or doing anything. We wonder if he knocked something during he repiar, although it workedfine after he had done it.

A Sad Mr JG has just gone off to work on the train with nothing to listen to. he is really disappointed.

Get him one of these JG:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCHWARTZ-JAW-JEWS-HARP-metal-with-playing-instructions_W0QQitemZ190387244585QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item2c53f6ce29

half the price of a replacement screen, just as portable as an iPod and doesn't require charging or batteries even, and almost guaranteed not to break down.

Then he can have music wherever he goes, as they say.

I know of a credo that states "if you can't open it, you don't really own it".

I suspect that with iProducts, if you open it, you kill it...

Very Happy

We were encouraged by Mr JG's successfully opening Miss JG's old i-pod, looking at it and putting it back together again and finding it worked!

Looks like Mr JG has once again repaired his i-pod. He took it apart and discovered that he had trapped a wire when he put it back together last time. He is currently playing "Dancing Queen" through the pod dock as Miss JG is off to see Mama Mia.
