Hello and welcome!
I make country wines and cider, so will be interested to read about your experiences? Also I do a bit of gardening/growing as well.

Re: Hello from Lancashire
Hi Frank big welcome from France. We grow our own and eat our own (veg and fruit that is!)
Self build... been there done that, sold the T-shit
Rennovate...being there, doing that, worn out the T-shirt (now T-shirt less!)

Not the same T-shit that Wood Troll wears, then.
Re: Hello from Lancashire
I love winemaking. I tried making mead once, but it was not of the highest quality. I think that it is an acquired skill. I made a lovely apple and blackberry some time ago, what a superb body and flavour. Anyone should try that one.
As for gardening, I have an allotment, and have just got a new polytunnel. however, just my luck, as it arrived the weather has turned very windy, not to mention wet. It is St Swithun's day, July 15th, and the folklore is that if it rains on this day we get forty days of bad weather, According to some meteorologists there is some truth behind the legend. It is all to do with the setting in of weather patterns.

Sorry, I must know you from ACL, but I need to identify you by your ACL name. Hi anyway, nice to meet another person who enjoys what I do. Luath seems a very Celtic name. Does this indicate an affection for things Celtic? Slaine.

Stretford, Greater Manchester, the south end really, just north of the Mersey, not far from Manchester United.

I am SarahD in another guise..................lol - a mighty Celt, too lol. Morning Frank
ETA - Luath was the name of Rabbie Burns dog - means lithe and fleet of foot, and I'm fully aware of the irony lol
