Elder Berries
Looks like a good crop. I have elder flower cordial, what shall I do with the berries? Jam? Preseve? Cordial? Add to gin/vodka - did that before and people loved it
Would prefer to do jams - like jams, specially whenit's dark and cold outside, on new-made bread ... Yum!

Re: Elder Berries
I've not made it yet Elen, but I know a few folk that have and rave about it - the perfect addition all sorts of savoury dishes and best left for 7 years to mature - if you can wait that long!! I am sure the recipe will be up before long, if not I'll go look it up for you and get back later.
Elderberry Rob is another good standby for winter coughs and colds. Elderberry jelly is pretty good too.

It's in the River Cottage Preserves book, I can go and look it up OR if you come next Sat to the meet up, you could borrow/copy it?

Re: Elder Berries
Elderberry cordial is to die for!
They're also great mixed in with damsons or whatever other fruits are to hand in a fruit pie or crumble.
I bet they're ace in jam. Such a tasty fruit!
