Re: Forum meet up?
What a lovely get-together that was. Wish I could have been there (especially after what DIDN'T come to pass today in the way of swish house advertising . . .)
It looks like everyone had a wonderful time.

Re: Forum meet up?
A big thank you to CW and family for a lovely day! It was great to meet everyone in the flesh and to see your place CW and to eat some much tasty food! Those chocolate brownies (Mr C's mum's secret recipe) were GORGEOUS! And we finished up with a very tasty bean salad and pasta (thanks Elen and Mr ES).
We had a lovely drive home - fantastic sunset ahead of us all the way and then great views of the fireworks from Shrewsbury Flower Show's Grand Finale as we came down over the hills and into the shropshire plain. A lovely end to a lovely day!

Re: Forum meet up?
Good morning all. Glad you had a good time and sorry to miss it.
I remarked in the torrential rain at Cropredy on Saturday night that I had a feeling the C family were the only ones staying over in he end and I bet they would be nicely tucked up in CW's spare room!
Well it rained EVERY DAY at Cropredy and despite all our efforts we did get rather wet, but were always dry in the tent. I was glad to get home to real plumbing and have a shower. It was a lovely day yesterday (Grr) so we got the tent dried off. Just got to finish the washing and put everything away.

Re: Forum meet up?
Yes, a belated thank you to the Composts for a brilliant afternoon (have been busy fielding lots of visitors since then) - just one question...there was a lovely cake I tried which I think was banana and cherry (?) - any chance of the recipe?

Re: Forum meet up?
I will ask CM for the recipe, it was his cake! Yes it is very yummy and yes Banana and Cherry in a loaf tin.
Am so glad everybody seems to have enjoyed themselves, it is always a bit nerve wracking before a party, especially where most people have never met before!
A bit like hosting a gigantic blind date.....

Re: Forum meet up?
Wow - today was brave with my tooth (seeing my dentist tomorrow now) and tried the almond biscuit thing that CW sent us home with. Very yummy and now regretting that I didn't have any whilst there. Was that another CM special or do I need to ask someone else nicely for the recipe?

Re: Forum meet up?
Thank you Dandelion! I'll go and print that one out to try it soon!
JG - don't forget to let me know if you're up here visiting your brother any time soon as if so you, me and LMC could have our own mini-compostfest around my compost bins - although I have far fewer than the 24 I saw at Compost Mansions!
