Thanks for the warm welcomes!
Thanks everyone, and happy new year! To Badger, I would say Hedgewitch in training, but of course, I'm training myself

Indeed, who needs to be a people person? Come to me with your problems, sure, but not your songs and handholding. LOL

Indeed. If I want to dance naked in the rain, I can do it perfectly well on my own, I don't need saggy titted old hippies to hold my hand. (I should add that the saggy titted hippies I know are all men and its not a sight to aid lunch retention when they go skyclad...)
Re: Welcome Hedgerider
Who was it that was talking about a spit-my-tea-out-laughing emoticon? I so need one just now. What a shame you're all the way over in Nova Scotia, because for inapropriate/sudden nudity, Glastonbury takes the biscuit. And the singing... the endless singing...
Bless. I laugh, but I do love it here. So what if some people have a muff that could take your eye out? It just improves the skill of ignoring people.

Re: Welcome Hedgerider
OOohhh yes... thank you!
Your name sent me down memory lane... my favourite past time as a child... was to put a saddle and bridle on a hedge and ride it..... never got anywhere, mind you, but, boy did I love that hedge... Worse bit was my sis was always in front in the hedge in front...

Re: Welcome Hedgerider
I love it, I'm not sure you're supposed to take it literally! Although, as a child, one of my best friends was an ash tree, so we won't look to deeply into 'conventional' behaviour here...
Hedgerider refers to witches or wise women who lived on the outskirts of their towns and villages, generally solitary beings that were sought for medicine, midwifery, advice, magic, etc. Think Granny Wetherwax in her cottage at the edge of the forest talking to her goats.
*Cackle, cackle!*

Re: Welcome Hedgerider
Sounds wonderful...I'd far rather visit that little cottage on the outskirts, I'm not a great fan of us oomans...I do include myself in that.. I really annoy me sometimes...
Re: Welcome Hedgerider
Well, I'm exceedingly ooman, nothing fey or flitty about me. I concur with annoying oneself, it shouldn't be the case, but it is. Where are you based?

Re: Welcome Hedgerider
Hello Hedgerider.Good to see some more Avalonians here. Although I am less bothered by the witches singing half as much as I am by that berk on the High street with his Beatles and Oasis covers.
Sudden thought: you're not that berk on the high street who busks Beatles and Oasis songs are you?

Re: Welcome Hedgerider
Aw bless him, it's when the rambling drunks join in with him that it all gets a bit unbearable. I'm not sure I know Schloss Rhomboid, is it a side street?

I'm in Suffolk in a hedge, weirdly....
Re: Welcome Hedgerider
So basically, we all live in hedges? Wicked. :-)
