New gardening year 2023
- began in earnest this weekend. Tomatoes, peppers and chillis sown, and some saladings in trays in the greenhouse, some radish under cloches. Then today at the allotment, rasberries cut down, the carrot bed cleared and topped up with spent compost from the greenhouse.
Then I waged war on the pampas grass a former plot holder of the neighbouring plot planted between my plot and his. The plot is currently between tenants, i asked the council to remove it as it is not an appropriate allotment plant, they didn't so I have seized my opportunity and dug it out. Broke my spade in the process, bit it was worth it Very tired now.
