Energyshare - River Cottage and British Gas - funding available
Energyshare founding partners River Cottage and British Gas share a passionate belief in the ability of individuals and communities to decide how they source, use and even generate their energy.
Energyshare brings together households, communities and organisations to work together to make this a reality.
Through the new energyshare Fund, grants of up to £100,000 are available for renewable energy projects. Projects must be supported by the local community, create a tangible and lasting impact and be able to inspire more community renewable projects. The deadline for the first round of funding is 31 May 2011
energyshare fund criteria
energyshare really wants to hear from all types of communities across Britain. A registered community group can apply for up to £100,000, and all we ask is that projects:
* have the objective of saving or generating energy locally
* are supported by their local community
* will benefit the local community and have a tangible and lasting impact.
* some aspect of the project is realistically achievable within one year
* will inspire even more community renewable projects
