Sainsbury's have the 1 litre tins of Philippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil half price at the moment - still normal price if you buy it in a bottle for some reason, but hey ho.
An absolute steal at that price - that is the same price, or perhaps slightly cheaper, as the bog standard own brand non virgin stuff. I cleared the shelf Embarassed

Its not crammed in my panic cupboard. If the SHTF here we shall still have bruschetta

Miss Wet (Olive Oil) T Shirt?

Hmm oh well I suppose it would work, in some circles.....

I once won a Miss wet (beer) T shirt contest..no, really...I was nubile and young, once......it was at a gig, a fairly large one, at Knebworth ........ beer

Anyway, back on topic...

Is the cans of oil the organic ones or the "ordinary2 ones....

although at that price, who cares...am off to sainsbugs tomorrow, anyway!

At the moment in Sainsburys - Philippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil half price.

Also Clipper fairtrade/Organic tea 50% extra free with 50p off next purchase coupon on the packet - which makes it about half the price of Piggy Tips etc.

In current Sainsbury news - Jamie Oliver brand Parmigiano Reggiano at half-price introductory offer - makes it about £2.40 for 200g, which is a lot cheaper than even Sains own brand standard Parmi Reg at £3.50 or so. And it is very nice indeed. I shan't be buying it at full price - we get through at least a 200g packet a week, usually 3 every 2 weeks in fact, so at £4.80 something a pack I don't think so. Have stockpiled a reasonable quantity though...
