Die cutting machines... Empty Die cutting machines...

Post by mark barker 29th December 2011, 12:02 pm

My eldest daughter loves the whole crafty scene, so I ordered here a die cutting machine & embosser... (Its the Sizzix big shot). Now she needs the dies to go with it, but they cost a fortune from the local craft store, so I was wondering if anyone has any secret suppliers of dies or embossing things.... Or am I destined to be broke in a bid to make home made stuff?

Yes, very expensive here too - thats why I ended up buying a Silhouette Cameo instead - no dies, just a single blade and design software.

I'm told, however, the best place to look for dies is ebay and some of the US scrapbooking sites like this one here

Yes the best place to look would be on the US sites. I know they are alot cheaper than here in oz.

Can't make any specific recommendations though as i've banned myself from buying for 18months lol. It's been about 6 months for me and i have still have a very very big stash:oops:

We hit "The Range" yesterday and I'm now £110 poorer than I was when we went in... Sad I'm trying to steer her towards the embossing things, they're much cheaper!

I can see an order being placed on one of the US sites in the new year...

Ouch

So glad I bought the Cameo instead... Though I am tempted by a Letterpress..
