hOW MANY DIFFERENT USES FOR..... ALUMINIUM FOIL
Underground, Overground, Wombling Free,
The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we.
Making good use of the things that we find,
Things that the everyday folks leave behind.
We're so incredibly, utterly devious
Making the most of everything.
Even bottles and tins.
Pick up the pieces and make them into something new,
Is what we do!"
The lyrics from the first & last verse of "The Wombling Song"
Thought I would try this again.
If your silver is tarnished, line a pan with foil, fill with water & add 2 teaspoons of salt. Drop the silver into the pan & leave for 2-3 mins, rinse off & dry.

Aluminium foil can be recycled (there are sometimes bins to collect it at supermarkets and local authority recycling centres if you can't include it in your kerbside recycling.) So its most obvious use - wrapping food for the fridge or a packed lunch - is worth mentioning IMO because it's much greener than using clingfilm. (It has to be clean to be recycled though.)

I get very fed up with the collection of clean milk bottle tops in the drying rack... or scattered across the draining board.

You still get foil caps on the milk? They make nice bell decorations for the christmas tree.

Covering star shapes!!! Make them all shiny and silver. They'll make pretty decorations.

Crumple up a handfull of foil & use it to scrub pots & pans if you run out of scrubbing pads.
Tape heavy duty foil to a piece of cardboard, shiny side out, & drop behind the radiator tor reflect the heat.

Carying on from Pol's hint, cover an A4 piece of thick card with a layer of foil and use behind seedlings on the windowsill to reflect light and stop them getting leggy.

Wrap matches in foil to keep them dry if you are going camping.
If you need to leave a paint brush for a while, wrap the bristles tightly in foil, also good to line the roller tray.
