Another hello from Co Durham
Hi
I'm Jane, living by the coast in lovely Co Durham with my OH. I work in glorious Durham City itself so my camera is always close to hand. I'm interested in trying to do my little bit by becoming greener - and this seems like a great friendly forum with likeminded folk sharing info and having a natter. I'm a very novice gardener & winemaker and just starting to experiment with making chutneys - so I'll be picking the brains of more experienced folk. I also like Books Books Books (did I say I like Books?), Cider and er.....Strictly Come Dancing!
Thanks for warm welcome in the tea room!

Hi Jane, we can't be too far away, we live between Guisborough & Whitby on the moors.
There are a few of us northerners here so a special welcome.
When the weather improves we'll have to have a meet up as Akuma and myself were planning! The more the merrier!

Such a friendly forum - thanks again for the warm welcome!
CW - I tend to drink more cider than make it
Mrs Nesbitt - Hope you're not snowed in on the moors - we normally don't suffer too badly with snow being so close to the sea, but it seems to be coming in off the North sea and it's freezing.........thermal vest time!

That wasn't your opinion when I visited Roger Wilkins the other week, dear Composta. But I would happily drink Hereford cider, it is fine stuff. Except I am in Somerset and the consume local produce directive of green living compels me to drink locally produced. Oh happy geography.
