Pork liver pate recipe please???
Does anyone know how to make pork liver pate? I have three livers just taking up space.
And pate on toast is a scrummy way to start the day

I've only made chicken liver pate before. I've found this recipe in a book though: it's for calf or lambs liver, but I would imagine it would work OK for pigs livers.
8oz liver
6oz fat bacon pieces
black pepper
1/4 teaspoon groun d mace or nutmeg
4oz thinly sliced bacon
Mince fat bacon and liver together twice. If very fine pate is wanted, put meat through a blender or sieve. Add the spices and mix thoroughly. Line a small loaf tin with the streaky bacon, and pack in the meat mixture.Cover with greased paper or foil and bake in a moderate oven (mark 4, 180C) for an hour. Leave in the tin to cool then turn out and slice.
