IF you want to eat crap, fast, food, made from caged hens who have a crap, fast life...you should at LEAST be prepared to look them in the beak and kill them....

I feel sick just thinking about what 99.99% of fast food chickens go through...... death must be a happy release for them...

I pride myself on only eating ( and yes sometimes killing) meat which has had a really happy outdoor, cared for and loved life, and as quick and humane a death as is possible. Death is never nice, but it doesn't need to be either cruel or barbaric...When I have killed thngs I do it with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of respect for the life of the animal I am killing...

and yes the two are not incompatible....

Those poor chickens.....

Tripe, Offal and pigs testicles night tomorrow night !
Can't say I fancy tripe - or testicles either for that matter.
And I'm going to have to find the episodes I've missed - doubtless they'll be repeated incessantly or I'll find them on iplayer or UkNova.

I have some pig testicles n the freezer that i have been waiting for the apposite moment (or the most unsuspecting guests) to find a recipe to prepare.

If they made those programmes in an unsensationalist straightforward manner they would be worth watching.

I agree, even Gordon R. and Janet Street Porter on the F word did it much better...

I'd rather eat my own testicles than watch the F word.

Usually served as a digestif after the meal, actually.

Well, yes, I don't really see the point in taking the World's Most Annoying Vegan EVER to watch chickens being killed and then asking him if he fancies eating a chicken nugget !

However it's quite entertaining to watch folk who live on junk food finding out what real food looks and tastes like compared to the stuff they normally eat.

Gus, every one of these programmes has had *a* WMAVE.......

I think its part of the sensationalism....but really, what's the point? If you are a Vegan, you ain't going to want to eat meat anyway..... Rolling Eyes

That is what I really object to in these programme, as Billy said they could be SO much more interesting whithout the silly stuff....

Try Googling "mountain oysters" or "prairie oysters". I believe some of the hits will give recipes. Here it's mostly a Midwest and West thing and traditionally the men (men only) gather in certain bars when they are in season and these are served. Or so Penny tells me.

Jamie Oliver cooked testicles of some sort lately and he simply dipped them in flour, then egg finishing with breadcrumbs and then deep fried them........i reckon that'd be a good way to do them if you really must:-) Bit of ketchup.......done!
