hello from France
Hello all you people!
I'm living as self sufficiently as possible without growing grain or at the moment keeping animals, except chickens of course! We are vegetarians but could do with some sort of milk producer...goat probably!
I live in a small green valley in France, purposefully increasing the biodiversity and the bio mass. We use wood for heating and most cooking now that we have a Rayburn! We preserve our own products so that we sustain ourselves throughout the year.
I gave up a my career in the computing industry to work as a healer. All the people that stay here find a natural calmness...even if they do not know why!
I look to help others find strength in themselves and a calmness to follow their path.

Hi Zoe. Welcome!
Your life sounds idyllic. Even though I'm sure it must be an awful lot of work and effort, that must in itself be nourishment for the soul.

Re: hello from France
Hi folks!
Yes it is a lot of effort - we don't expect someone else to provide much for us but in return I do not "sell my soul" to corporations and capitalism. So all the time I work I do not resent one second as it is not wasted commuting to work, or at the beck and call of people I fundamentally don't agree with! Also much of what I do is for the future..to provide something beyond my life.
