Almost forgot the November garden !
Crickey, where is November going ? Fortunately it is a quiet month in the garden. But I did make it out for an hour or so to tidy and sow broad beans.
Whilst digging, I noticed only one earthworm, which has me worried. Is it the time of year, temperature, or do I need a lot more organic matter ? The garden veg plot gets only composted kitchen/garden waste, no manure. Perhaps I need some "good stuff".
Anyone grow Chinese cabbages ? If mine have not hearted up yet, is it too late, or might further patience be rewarded, do you think ? I guess they are not in the way.

I don't know anything about Chinese cabbages I'm afraid. As is customary I have nothing planted outside. I have some spinach just germinated in the polytunnel and I must get round to putting in some broad beans. I've still got parsley growing in there and plenty of lovely carrots to harvest.
