Pesky blackbirds
Sitting on my patio. Immediately behind me an adult blackbird is teaching its young - at least 3 of them - how to steal my grapes. The little devils had the lot last year, and it looks like not enough will be left this year for winemaking again.

Netting? Or if you can stand to look at them swinging about, old CDs on bits of string. That last method has finally ensured I get to pick Tutankhamun peas this year. The sparrows were particularly fond of those.

I managed to keep the blueberries intact this year and last by netting the bushes - is your vine too big to net, CH?

There are two vines, and they run the width of the garden, 9 metres. The real problem is I am a softy and let the birds get away with it
