Well I got my confirmation through, so I do recommend that folk still try to sign up as it seems that they haven't hit 10,000 yet...
Re: RHS Veg Pledge - free stuff!
Yes, I did a pledge for another school I work with ( I will let the teacher know tomorrow, she will be well chuffed!) and it came through as well, so I think you may be right!

I have pledged. Do they tell you if you're successful on the seed front now?

Oh I say.
Re: RHS Veg Pledge - free stuff!
The web site just talks about signing up to the newsletter so I guess all the seeds have been allocated now.

Well, ... ...I had an email for school saying I would get a free seed selection ....but today
got a "free" packet of lettuce seeds because I din't make it to get the full monty seed packs...despite getting an email saying I would....
I rang them up and told them that I had said to the children we had been successful .....so they are going to try to sort out some more seeds..but really...why send me an email saying we had been successfull, if we were not......
grrrr

Re: RHS Veg Pledge - free stuff!
Well, the seeds arrived yesterday, and having said that I would 'do anything' for free seeds, I'm a bit underwhelmed. One packet of Gardeners delight (I already have two packets) and a packet of carrot seeds (I can't grow carrots easily in cold clay)

Re: RHS Veg Pledge - free stuff!
Likewise a bit underwhelmed. But what can you expect for free I guess. I have had more free packets of gardener's delight than enough. I even grew some once, but I wasn't very impressed - watery and split very easiily. Not to my taste.
Queer carrots though. They seem to be for overwintering. Never seen that before.
