volcano and earthquake prediction....
OK don't laugh cos I've been humming and haaing about sharing this for months, cos it's so weird and probably flukey (pardon me, Fluke... )....
Over the last 18 months to a year, I've been waking up knowing there's been an earthquake or a volcano or some earthy tremor, I've not missed one yet.... I don't believe in this.. so what's gonig on? Is it I'm aware of slight tremors or what? I'll wake up and go "wow I reckon there was one' eck of an earthquake somewhere, the bed was soo shaking!" Are we ona fault in Suffolk???
If it's an earthquake, I dream I'm shaking, which is farily obvious, I guess, but last few nights with the indonesian one, I've actually dreamt that I've been kinda thrown about in a container... I know I'm laughing cos I can't quite believe it myself. The Icelandic one had me on the ceiling! Both types leave me knackered and a realllly restless night, as you would, if on ceiling.. anyway, I just wanted to "share" cos this has got me a bit flumuxed...
Re: volcano and earthquake prediction....
Question: How do you feel when this is happening. Are you afraid? Not as in are you afraid that you are crazy but are you afraid because the earth is shaking and its life threatening ie as if you were there?

Not afraid at all, Zoe, for the first couple of time I just commented on the bed shaking in my dream as if they'd been a massive earthquake , and there had been. Now I mention it in a questioning manner to hubs, when he brings me a cuppa first thing (years of training there.... ) who says yup there was, cos he's been up and watched the news whilst I'm still in slmuber mode... . I'm sure it's cos of a ripple efffect. I was curious to see if anyone else felt them, or something...

Shakespeare cannot be bettered, he says, "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamed of in your philosophy." There are things that humans do not grasp. There seems no rationally clear explanation of your skills, but on the other hand, you seem to predict things that happen, and that is an indication of truthfulness and genuine knowledge.
How are we to take these skills? We can so cling to an understanding of the world that we squeeze our theories to make them fit; or we can adapt the theories to make them fit with the experience. I will go with the latter way and accept that there is something that I cannot understand going on.
The key idea is world-view, the general picture of the world that human build up over time. To construct a world view we would need to examine all the data about the world. So far, no one has done it. Scientific materialism has simply built a view of things on a limited range of experiences and data and expected everyone to accept it, and then spent much time trying to eliminate aberrant data such as the paranormal. But there is much that humans do not understand about what is happening in nature. My grandfather had it right, again. He told mother, who unlike him was a Cathoilc, "Your priests like to tell you that they know everything, but they don't. There is much in this world that they do not understand." It was only later that she realized that he was right!

Re: volcano and earthquake prediction....
First thing I would say is you are not alone. There are others who have this ability.
Second, keep a diary of the incident & the severity of the dream & feelings.
Most of all don`t worry, I suspect you are super sensitive to such things.

Re: volcano and earthquake prediction....
Bit different, but related - this has reminded me about hearing about the animals in indonesia at the time of the tsunami. Apparantly loads of animals fled away from the coast before most people knew there was anything to worry about (before the tsunami was visible from the coast), so it seems they have a sixth sense for this too. Maybe you're picking up on the same thing as them Lottie (whatever that might be!). Spooky hey!
Re: volcano and earthquake prediction....
Thanks all...
I often feel I have more intune with animals than oonmans, budburst.. mind you, I did find myself talking to a desk yesterday.... don't ask.. I was giving it a chance to fit in...

Re: volcano and earthquake prediction....
Talking to a desk is merely a form of "talking to yourself" which is a cliche used by ignorant people. There are several different phenomena wrapped up in in "talking to yourself." which is only a sign of mental difficulties if you are talking to an imaginary person who is not there. The psychologist Jung used to talk to his pots and pans; intelligent people often think so deeply that they think aloud. You are probably one of the sanest people around. If you are more sensitive than others, it is a gift. Cherish it. You seem to be an interesting and imaginative person.
Do I ever talk to myself? Often, but it is when I am thinking so intensely that I blurt out. It is embarrassing sometimes, but one has to live with it. I prefer it to being boringly normal.
