I am currently a bit annoyed at the topic notification function.
It clogs up my inbox and I already had a friend complaining he could not send me a larger file because my inbox-size was too much taken up.
At the moment, I have to go into the profile settings and manually mark all topics I have posted in as not to watch.
Is there a way to set the profile either of individuals or the board as not to be notified per default?
If people want to watch, then have a box to tick and stay happy?

Please?
thanks! loveflag hug

Yes it annoyed the heck out of me as well.

You need to go to your profile and click on the preferences tab.

six options down is the bit for email notifications, you need to set that to NO, then scroll all the way down and save.

That should do it, it may not be instant, but the emails will stop,

OK

Just done some investigation, I cannot turn off all email notifications from my end. I would prefer that this was an opt in thing, but the function isn't built into the forum. So all I can do is get you to turn off

Profile>>Preferences>> Always notify me of replies :>>No>>Save
