Stash Swap Empty Stash Swap

Post by polgara 8th September 2011, 10:18 am

Been thinking & have an idea.

Most of us have a stash of crafty things. Some we have had for years & still have not managed to use them.

My idea is to get an envelope no bigger than 229mm x 324mm, or 9" by 12 3/4" & go through the stash & put odds & ends in it, then post it on to someone else. Then another person will post a packet to you.

Items could be
fabric pieces,
Trimmings
Card bits
beads
or any thing else you you may have.

If you are intersted, please let me know & I will start a list of interested people. Spar will help me sort it, & I will let you know who your swapee is with the addy etc.

For people outside the UK please join in, I will try & match you with people in your countries & if not I am sure someone will be more than willing to post to you, hence the size I have chosen.

I've been to see the nice lady who runs the sub post office in the village, mainly for a chat, but to check on small packet and parcel rates to the UK.

Lets just say. Gulp Shocked

I don't think I can take part in the beanie swap and this as well, money is a bit tight right now and I can only justify postage for one swap Sad

Sea mail is so very slow that it is hardly worth the effort, and yes, pretty pricey. Sadly Canada Post doesn't seem to want to do domestic mail any more and has ramped up rates.
