From tree to furniture by hand
I stumbled across -> Adrian McCurdy's <- work in this month's Fine Woodworking magazine. I love what he is doing; splitting oak from where the tree fell through to beautifully organic furniture, using tools like wooden wedges and an adze.
I wish I could do that.
Mind you, there is that nagging thought in my mind that a flat, level tabletop makes it a lot easier not to spill your pint .,,

Another rather beautiful bit of furniture caught my eye whilst I was searching for something else entirely; this time the work of Marvin Elliott on Arran. It's a table with a glass top, and a base carved from walnut. Amazing.
